Good news - Terry O'Brien, another Boston activist has arrived in Palestine
in time to catch the closing efforts of Palestine Freedom Summer. Below are his
brief reports. As you see he has wasted no time getting into the thick of
things! Note - I deleted a couple of names and places.
Other news - Adam along with 8 other activists continue to be held
in an Israeli jail while their deportation orders are processed. Please continue
to call the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Israeli
consulate in Boston (see prev. e-mail for phone #'s) to protest
this act against peace and justice. Ben, bostontopalestine list moderator

Terry Describe His Encounter with Ben-Gurion Security
Saturday August 10th, 2002
hi ben
i told security i was a tourist going to stay with X in rehovot. i
acted like i was stupid. they asked me why i was coming now, and i said because
X was sad that none of her friends would come to meet her. they called over the
male supervisor, talked for a minute and waved me through. i was very happy,
but slow and dumb, (it wasnt really an act, i had been awake for 34 of the
previous 37 hours).
yes i am reading up on chris and carl very dangerous lives those boys
leave.

hi all,
i went to the ta'ayush demo today near bethlehem.
the army was out in force with a water cannon.
one person was arrested and a few people got knocked over by
horses. never run away from a horse, move to one side and they will try not to
step on you! check out their site for pictures etc.
