Freedom Summer 2002

Freedom Summer Delegates

Chris Williams & Carl Williams

Carl and Chris Williams are 33 year old identical twins. Carl and Chris joined Freedom Summer for 2 weeks from August 1 to August 18, 2002. They are long time human rights and social justice activists working with Amnesty International, Students for a Free Tibet, and other groups. They both work as computer programmers and live together in Mission Hill, Roxbury, MA. They have a mock Israeli Merkava Mk III tank in their backyard. You can find out far more about them then you'd ever want to know on their web sites (Carl's and Chris')

Terry O'Brien

Terry is a school teacher in Boston. He has been an almost lifelong activist. Terry traveled to Palestine to take part in the Freedom Summer Campaign and stayed until mid September (2002). He worked with Greenpeace for several years during the 80's and now works with Food Not Bombs serving meals to the hungry. He can also be caught in the streets at almost any protest in Boston or sometimes just handing out flyers about social justice issues to the public.

Susan

Susan is a bookbinder from Cambridge, MA and has long been active in peace and justice issues. She joined ISM's Freedom Summer Campaign (summer 2002) and is now participating to the Olive Harvest Campaign.
